Can you see that it's supposed to be a stage with a band on it? I know, all I see is fuzzy outlines of high-school kids smashed closer than should be physically possible too. I really want to know how they all didn't die of asphyxiation- there were some majorly smelly, sweaty teenage boys. yuck. double yuck. It reminded me of home in a sad smelly sort of way. Ending up with 5 brothers will do that to a girl.

The sad thing is that there were more high school students there than I expected. Somehow, magically I did not feel old or out of place- mostly because there were parents there with their high school kids, mortifying them and practically ruining their lives, I'm sure.
I don't think I'm familiar with "Phoenix," but I just asked my son about them (he's here visiting), and he said they're a great group and that I would like them. He's pretty tuned in to my musical taste, so he's probably right.
