My own kind of super-hero

Not to brag or anything, but it is my blog so I can, I just need to let it be known that today I was like a freaking super-hero.

No I wasn't taming a panther, or wearing a tight green body suit with matching boots. Nothing like that.

I just got an insane amount of stuff done today, all while watching a friends sick-ish baby. I know right. Laundry: washed, folded, put away. Dishes: done, twice. Floors: clean.

And my piece de resistance (imagine all of the little marks above the vowels ok?) Dinner. Not just any dinner either. Roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, 2 kinds of squash, perfectly roasted green beans, and gingerbread cake with peaches and cream for dessert.

I ate it before I thought to take pictures of said wonder, but trust me when I tell you- it was good.

Now stop imagining me squished into that tight green costume, and let me tell you about how all of a sudden I'm feeling quite nesting-ish- with the impending change of season. And not just things like get out the fall decorations, and actually putting them up this year. Although that is one of the things I'm getting all sparkly nesting feelings about. I also am thinking I should do something new with my hair.

I get this feeling every season change- I always wish for bangs for precisely 1 minute, and then remember my forehead issue- you know the size of a jolly rancher, therefore not fit for bangs. Alas, I don't know what to about this . At the first whiffs of summer I want to chop it all off and let my neck breathe that sweet summer air, and be free from gross beads of sweat that comes with long hair. What actually happens is that I settle for a ponytail, every livin day, all summer long. That's my version of compromise, not making a decision and dealing with the consequences.

So back to my hair-nesting-decision-making-incapability story, I think I'm going to take my chances, and turn my hair over to a professional for the decision making process. Have your way with me hair person- just my hair though.

  1. I shared my own hair philosophy a few days ago--My hair is almost Rogaine-thin, and quite impossible to instill any body into it.
But I have a belief--IT'S HAIR, and IT GROWS BACK!
I've done the Demi Moore from Ghost to straight and long to the middle of my back and everywhere in between. Some I loved. Some I hated. My advice is to find someone you trust and tell them to do what they think is best, with your approval. When I've had a stylist like that, I've rarely gone wrong.
So what's holding you back? Go for it.
    IT'S JUST HAIR.
    Good luck.

  2. I'm thinking of a change, too. My hair is longer than ever before, and I'm about ready to go short again.

Keep us posted! Maybe you can inspire me with a good 'do.

  4. I like your hair. I wish I had hair like that. But I'm with Jen - if you want to do something different, GO FOR IT. I change mine all the time from color to style. Keeps life interesting.
